African Regulatory Agencies and Standards Regulators Forum 2020

  • 0

A key determinant of government effectiveness is how well regulatory systems achieve their policy objectives. Innovative approaches to regulation and government formalities have produced impressive gains in some African countries economic and social well-being, but too often the results of regulation have been disappointing.

Amid the influx of changes in all fields of human endeavour as well as technological advances which are giving rise to groundbreaking innovative and destructive transformation, where businesses are transitioning from a ‘built to last’ tradition and embracing the ‘built to evolve’ ideology, regulators and compliance agencies of  these products and services have the utmost responsibility to be up to date and play ahead of emerging trends.

More so, regulators have a major driving role to foster an enabling environment for an efficient and vibrant landscape, while actively managing the associated risks.
